THERE MUST BE MORE

The wondrous creation of life,
To understand its mysteries,
To know why I am here

More than wealth that I may gain,
For I think there must be more.

The morning sun surrounds me
With the promise of a perfect day,
And the wind whispers in my ear
Reminding me I am one with earth.
Yet I think there must be more.

I look out upon the restless sea
Its mighty waves tamed at my feet.
But the waves roll on forever,
Yet I soon gone and forgotten,
And I think there must be more.

The way love takes hold of me
In a surge of radiant joy
When all cares are forgotten
And life in a moment is fulfilled.
What can be more than love?
This much I know: God is love.
