THE FATHER GLORIFIED THE SON
It was written that God would come
And the Father sent forth the Son
To save the children of the land.
Jesus gave hope to the poor and oppressed,
Healed the sick and sinners He blessed,
And the children were joyful with Him.
In just three years of His ministry
Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies
And gave new life to the children.
As the lion attacks the lamb,
So they fell upon God as Man
Who came in peace with love.
King David wrote a thousand years before
Of Christ suffering and dying on the cross
But He would glorify the Father.
As the Lord’s suffering came to an end,
The ground shook and the sky darkened
And the Father glorified the Son.
